Mission of Hope

EmpoweredLike other Christian denominations, the Assemblies of God (AG) sends missionaries around the world. Do our prayers for and financial gifts to our missionaries really make a difference? Here are a few facts of how our church helps impact the world through our prayers and giving.

  • Today 68 million people attend an AG church worldwide.
  • There are 365,157 AG churches in 255 countries.
  • 95% of AG members worship in a church outside the United States!
  • Every 29 seconds a new believer is added to an AG church.
  • Every hour one new AG church is planted.
  • The AG also serves the world with compassion via the following:
    • Medical clinics
    • Feeding programs
    • Orphanages
    • Disaster relief
    • Sex trafficking victims
    • Teen Challenge (addiction ministry)
    • Prison ministries
    • Education

Our prayers and giving make a difference!

In 2016, our church family gave over $61,000 to missionaries and ministries that give hope to the following:

  1. Orphans and Children in Need
  2. The Hungry and Homeless
  3. The Abused and Addicted
  4. The Persecuted
  5. The Unreached

We proudly partner with both AG missionaries and ministries of other denominations that clearly proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. The AG is only a fraction of all that God is doing around the world. Join us in PRAYING for missions, GIVING to missions, and GOING on mission trips that bring the hope of Jesus to our lost and hurting world.

Carlinville First

Our Sunday 10:00 am meetings typically open with both contemporary and traditional songs. When the people of God gather in worship, God is active. Together we passionately exalt and glorify God with singing, music, prayer, the reading of God’s Word, creative arts, and communion. Then in this atmosphere of united worship, the Holy Spirit communicates the manifest presence of God. The Holy Spirit also uses us in the orderly exercise of spiritual gifts. Our church is one big family that is multi-cultural and multi-generational. Each generation and every stage of life belongs and is valued. Because life-change happens best in the context of authentic friendships, all are welcomed and loved at our church family. Sunday meetings also include Biblical and practical messages that are encouraging, challenging and hope-filled.
