Dear Parents,
Welcome to our children’s ministry at Carlinville First. We consider it a privilege to serve your young children through our children’s ministry! It is our desire to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere for your child. The following are the policy guidelines we’ve established as part of our ministry. We appreciate you taking time to read and comply with them. We also appreciate knowing that you will communicate feedback and ideas to us as we continue to grow and improve in our ministry.
Each child should be signed in at the registration counter by a parent. Please complete a registration card for each child. The sticker with your child’s name and number will be placed on the back of your child. You will receive an identical tag matching your child for an easy and safe pick-up.
- The corresponding number located on your tag will flash on the monitor above the piano in the sanctuary if there is an issue with your child.
- Please notify the worker at the registration counter of any allergies, special instructions, or needs on the registration card.
- The upstairs will open ten minutes before service begins. Please do not release your child until the team is ready.
- For your child’s safety, please show your nametag when you pick up your child. Please do not send older children to drop off or pick up the child. If an adult other than a parent has permission from a parent to pick up the child, please notify the receptionist in advance and be sure the other adult has the registration tag.
- Please pick your child up as soon as possible at the close of the service.
- Caregivers are not permitted to give medication to any child.
- Parents are invited to discuss possible improvements by completing a comment card located at the registration counter.

To prevent the spread of illness: No one should be in the rooms if he/she has had the
following within the last 24 hours:
- Fever
- Diarrhea
- Mucus in the eyes
- Pink eye
- Head lice
- Contagious skin rash
- Flu virus
- Congested cough
- Cold virus
- Colored discharge from the nose

Our Sunday 10:00 am meetings typically open with both contemporary and traditional songs. When the people of God gather in worship, God is active. Together we passionately exalt and glorify God with singing, music, prayer, the reading of God’s Word, creative arts, and communion. Then in this atmosphere of united worship, the Holy Spirit communicates the manifest presence of God. The Holy Spirit also uses us in the orderly exercise of spiritual gifts. Our church is one big family that is multi-cultural and multi-generational. Each generation and every stage of life belongs and is valued. Because life-change happens best in the context of authentic friendships, all are welcomed and loved at our church family. Sunday meetings also include Biblical and practical messages that are encouraging, challenging and hope-filled.
